The lower section of the pole—the part you hold during use—includes an integrated layer of DuPont™ Kevlar® woven into the carbon fiber. It also offers added protection in the event of brief, accidental contact with an electrical source.

Carbon fiber remains electrically conductive, so the pole must still be used with extreme caution around power lines and other electrical hazards. The Kevlar layer does not make the pole safe near live electrical sources. Always keep a safe working distance from any electrical risk.
